Lyle D. Hall, 87, of rural Waverly, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Lincoln. Born on July 25, 1938, rural Lincoln, to Francis and Marjorie (Hand) Hall. Lyle farmed for many years in the surrounding area.
Family includes his wife of 62 years, Eileen; children, Loretta (Brian) Curtis of Waverly and Linda (Jerome "Jerry") Thraen of rural Lincoln; grandchildren, Avery (Aaron) Whitehorn, of Aubrey, Texas, Abby (Mitchell) Eastep of Syracuse, Neb., and Ryan Thraen of rural Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Alaina and Austin Whitehorn and Flynn and Millie Eastep; sisters-in-law, Jean Niedfeldt, Elaine Nispel, and Joann Niedfeldt; cousin, Janet Kroese.
Preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Albert and Anna Niedfeldt; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Funeral Service to be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church, 9831 N. 145th Street, Waverly, NE 68462. The family will greet friends on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel, 10851 N. 148th Street, Waverly, NE 68462. Private family interment in the Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly.
