She was the best. Marian´s creativity, kindness, joy and love for nature and the world´s people (especially spunky and curious children) are unforgettable touchstones.

Mrs. Nuernberger was my 3rd grade teacher at Merle Beattie Elementary School back in the late 70´s. I remember her class very well, and recall her gentleness and her way with all of us. She taught me what the word, "wise," meant-and asked me to look it up first and then explain to her what I learned. For whatever reason, that really made an impression-a true teacher and example. I´ve always thought back to my year with her as one of my best. Rest well, Mrs. N-you are loved.
