Michael James Bahr
February 18, 1969 - June 26, 2022
Michael James Bahr, born in Lincoln on February 18, 1969 died in Lincoln on June 26, 2022. He died suddenly from an aggressive kidney infection.
Mike worked as a software developer for many years - a job he loved. He was an outstanding guitarist (known as Jamie) for the rock group SuckerPunch who played in Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding areas for many years. Mike loved those guys and the music they wrote and played together and will surely be missed by them and all his friends from the music scene and Lincoln area where he lived his whole life to the fullest. He finished his gig on earth and is now knocking on Heaven's door to be greeted by his brother, Matt, who passed in February 2002.
Parents are Deanna Bahr of Lincoln and Jerry and Elaine Bahr of Battle Ground, Washington, sister Christe Maclemor, and nieces Isla and Mia Maclemore of Vancouver, Washington. Our pain of loss is almost unbearable.
No funeral is planned, but a Celebration of his Life will be announced at a later date. Monetary donations may be sent to the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center or The Cat House in memory of Mike.
We love you Mike and will always carry your memory in our hearts.

I remember going to Michael´s yard to help his Mother pick up branches after a storm. We chatted & had a good time....thinking we would go back to help in his yard some more. I was hoping to get to know him...as I have such a high regard for his Mother. Losing him was so shocking & sudden. Regards to all...on this Anniversary! Thinking of you! A neighbor: Sharon Cape

My heart goes out to everyone in Mikes life, especially his parents. I just found this news as I was thinking about Matt, he taught me to tattoo and in many ways saved my life by seeing something in me I didn´t know was there.
I feel blessed and honored to have known Matt and my heart hurts for your loss for two beautiful souls that clearly brought a lot of light and joy into the world.
