October 23, 1957 - September 28, 2025
Michael Joseph Flowers, 67, passed away on September 28th, 2025. Mike was known for his sense of humor, creativity, big heart, and hard work. His passion for music, cooking, motorcycles, and animals was evident throughout his life, and he shared those with everyone.
Significant professional milestones in Mike's life include an Associate Degree from Southeast Community College, a 28 year career as an electronic technician for Lincoln Public Schools, his radio show, The Mystic Mile on KZUM and his work within AA.
Mike is survived by his loving partner, Robin Evans; the Mother of his children, Alice Flowers; his daughters Melissa (Luis) Hernandez, Sarah (Chris) Lottman, Michaela (Austin) Butterbaugh; his grandsons Dean Lottman, Ezra & Odis Hernandez, Landon & Elliott Butterbaugh; sister Debbra (Myron) Grant; brother Harold (Kris) Flowers, nieces, nephews; and long time friend, Phil Steele. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Gallatin; grandparents and caregivers, Earl and Laverne Flowers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln. In honor of Mike, please wear casual attire. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to KZUM or Capital Humane Society in his memory.
