Michael Douglas Kirk
May 13, 1955 - February 24, 2024
Michael Douglas Kirk, 68, of Lincoln, NE, passed away on February 24, 2024.
Mike was born on May 13, 1955, to Donna Kirk and William Kirk in Kalamazoo, MI. Mike was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His passion in life was gardening, horticulture, and botany. He also enjoyed genealogy, reading, history, and being in nature. Spoiling his grandchildren alongside his beloved wife Linda, brought him more joy than anything else.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kirk; sister, Sharon Kirk; and his parents, Bill Kirk and Donna Kirk. He is survived by his three children: Troy Kirk and his wife Jamie, Paula Fund and her husband Clint, and Jenn Downs and her husband Michael; as well as eleven grandchildren.
Mike will be remembered as a wise and funny soul, who had deep compassion for the good in humanity. We rejoice in the knowledge that he is now with our Lord in Heaven and is reunited with our mother, Linda. Here on Earth, he will remain deeply loved, missed, and alive in our memories.
Services to be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Connecting Pointe Church, 1901 S. 70th St., Lincoln, NE.
