Mike E. Bousquet
May 23, 1947 - January 15, 2021
Mike E. Bousquet passed away on January 15, 2021. He fought a short battle against pancreatic cancer, and passed-on to meet his Lord in both comfort and peace. Mike was born on May 23rd, 1947 to Ernest and Adelaide Bousquet in Lincoln, NE. Mike was the oldest of 4 siblings. Mike graduated from Lincoln High in 1965, then Wayne State College in 1970. He was a proud alumnus of both. Mike's life-long professional career began in the early 1960's working for his father, E.J., by installing underground sprinkler systems while still in high school. After graduating college, becoming a full-time contractor under 'E.J. Bousquet & Sons' came next. To keep busy in the winter months, Mike founded 'ABC Income Tax'. In 1976, Mike was a founding family member of 'REAMS Sprinkler Supply Co., Inc.' with one branch in Omaha, NE. Over the next 30 years, serving as President, Mike grew the company to over 10 branches in four states. Mike loved his work, and always enjoyed the time he spent with co-workers, customers, and vendors. He truly considered everyone a friend. Mike enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and golfer. (And hunter of golf balls) His primary joy in these activities came from the time he spent with his friends. He could always be counted on for a story and a good chuckle. He enjoyed volunteering in the community, especially as a member of Cornhusker Kiwanis. Mike's greatest joy and love in his life was his family. Mike was married to Vicki for 51 years. They spent a wonderful lifetime together traveling the world, enjoying great meals, and many peaceful nights at their lake home in Fremont. He also leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law, Bryce and Heather Bousquet. His oldest granddaughter and her husband, Ali Bousquet and Nick Lehmann. His youngest granddaughter, Megan Bousquet. And his 1yr old great-grandson, Calvin Lehmann-Bousquet. His two granddaughters and his great-grandson were the light of his life. They always brought joy and a smile to his face. Due to Covid restrictions, a private service will be held at Trinity United Methodist on Friday, January 22nd. The service will be available for viewing via livestreaming at trinitylincoln.org/funerals 1:00pm Friday, January 22. Memorials can be sent to Trinity United Methodist Music Dept. Mike was respected and loved by many, and he will be missed by many. "Hugs from Home" or condolences online at Roperandsons.com

So very sorry for your loss. We didn´t know Mike well and only through our daughter and son-in-law, Ben and Ashley Varilek. I know they both loved Mike and the Bousquet family. I really enjoyed the times we shared stories and the beautiful convocation Mike gave at Ashley and Ben´s wedding. You were a wonderful role model for Ben and they will cherish the memories they have as well. Godspeed to you Mike and prayers and blessings to your family.

Vicki, We are so saddened and sorry to hear of Mike´s passing. Mike was well respected by Don and was a great guy to work with in the Sprinkler Industry. We will never forget the Cruise Mike and Reames sent our whole family on many years ago. It proved to be one of our most memorable trips and helped spark our love for traveling. We also will never forget the fun we have enjoyed with the Bousquet family on Sprinkler trips...going way back to our first in Puerto Vallarta. Always a happy face and a joy to be around, Mike will be missed by us and many others. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Vicki, we are all so very saddened by Mike´s passing, but know he is in a better place ~ resting with Him. The biggest choir has gained a tremendous voice. Until you meet again, your sisters in BSP are here for you.
Blessings to you & Bryce´s family,
Pam & Ed
