Phyllis J. Blythe, 94, of Lincoln, died April 12, 2021. She was born December 25, 1926 in Lincoln to Harold N. & Florence L. (Thompsen) Griswold. Phyllis was a graduate of Lincoln High School and attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Member of Capitol City Christian Church and former member of Nu Phi Mu Business Sorority. Previously worked for the Credit Bureau-Lincoln Office for 5 years, co-owned A1 Linoleum for 15 years before retiring in 1976 and then was a part-time secretary at Christian Student Fellowship at UNL from 1980 – 2000.
Phyllis is survived by her husband William K. Blythe, daughters Carol (Craig) Vanderkolk & Diane Thomas, son David (Joy) Blythe, brother-in-law Harlan Blythe, 5 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters Janet Thereau & Virginia Whiting and a grandson.
Celebration of Life service 3:00 pm Saturday at Capitol City Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Capitol City Christian Church, Christian Student Fellowship, People's City Mission, or Donor's Choice. Condolences: www.bmlfh.com.
