Richard Charles Kuhl, 79, Lincoln, died Wednesday (4/20/05) in Lincoln. Born on Feb. 8, 1926, in Ashland. U.S. Army Air Forces veteran, 1944-1946. A 1950 graduate of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Owner, Kuhl-Reece, Inc., in Ashland. Former vice president, Eggers Consulting, Omaha. President, National Search, Lincoln. Member: former president, Ashland School Board; co-founder, former president, Ashland County Club; American Legion, Ashland; Rotary Club, Ashland; Knight of the Altar, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ashland; Knights of Columbus, Lincoln; North American Martyrs Catholic Church.

Survivors: daughters, sons-in-law, Constance and Jim Weston, Olathe, Kan., Karen and Dick McWilliams, Omaha, Kathryn and Dr. René Ryba, Scottsdale, Ariz., Theresa and fiance James Ennis Jr, Omaha, Ellen and Matt Fuller, Lincoln; sons, daughters-in-law, Richard and Laney, Cresco, Iowa, James "Brad", Lincoln, Jeffrey, Oak Park, Ill., Patrick and Wendy, Denton, Steven and Sheri, Queen Creek, Ariz., Robert and Joan, Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, brother-in-law, Rilla and Bob Sullivan, Wahoo; brothers-in-law, spouse, Tom O'Connell, Dayton, Ohio, Louis and Nancy O'Connell, Kona, Hawaii, Art and Shirley O'Connell, Belle Fourche, S.D.; sisters-in-law, Betty Driskill, Belle Fourche, Theresa Schurr, Gold River, Calif.; cousins; nieces; and nephews. Preceded in death by Margaretta Josephine Kuhl, wife of 53 years.

Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Monday, North American Martyrs Catholic Church, 1101 Isaac Drive. Ashland City Cemetery. Visitation: noon-9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday, Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A St.; one hour prior to services, church. Rosary service: 6 p.m. Sunday, funeral home. Memorials: Kuhl family charities.
