My wife and I had the privilege to be in the company of Bob and Ellen many years ago when we were asked to be a part of a missionary trip to the DR with the Grand Island Episcopal church cadre of good and giving parishioners. I must tell you it was the single most rewarding trip I have been a part of. So many spiritual blessings and life-lasting memories still remain within my heart and soul from this adventure. My prayers are with Bob´s family as well as the many people he was a servant to. May our God continue to bless each one of us more abundantly than ever.

Ellen, please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear husband. I remember many years ago (at the Nebraska Library Commission) how you looked forward to mission work with him and I know your deep faith with comfort you.

I am blessed to have known Bob. My spirit was always lifted when I saw him at church. I learned a lot about what it means to be a Christian when he led the group I was with all over the Dominican Republic. More specifically, I learned the importance of service to all because we are all God's children.

Bob was the best boss that I ever had! He was one of the reasons I enjoyed being the producer of the Star City Parade for 4 years. Blessings to his entire family He was truly one of the best!
