Roger Dean Engel, 63, of Ithaca, Neb., entered into rest on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Omaha, Neb. He was born March 29, 1962, in Omaha, Neb., to Roger Ray and Sharon June (Schroeder) Engel.
Survived by his wife of 20 years, Jackie Engel; children, Brandon (Jessica) Engel of Omaha, Neb., Brie (Rob) Herrera of Jalisco, Mexico, MiLea Ixta of Tallahassee, Fla., Robert Swain of Beatrice, Neb., Riah Engel of Ithaca, Neb., Anthony Engel of Ithaca, Neb., and James Engel of Ithaca, Neb.; grandchildren, Skyla Herrera, Adrianna Ixta, MiLeanna Ixta and Sage Herrera; sister, Joyce Stevens; brother, Jeffrey Engel; brother-in-law, John VanSeveren; sisters-in-law, Carrie (Derrick) Klindt and Jessica VanSeveren; parents-in-law, Timothy and Sandra Dyson, Joseph and Madonna VanSeveren; many other family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Sharon Engel, and infant sister, Debbie Engel.
Funeral Service, Saturday, November 22, 2025, 11 a.m. at Ithaca United Methodist Church, 302 7th St., Ithaca, Neb.
Interment at Indian Mound Cemetery, Ithaca, Neb.
