On behalf of the Lincoln Memorial Day Observance Association (LMDOA) we would like to express our sincere sympathy on the loss of your loved one. A man of great courage who served in our nation’s military , so that we may have the freedoms we enjoy in America today. Each year, a Candlelight Vigil is held on Memorial Day night at the Antelope Park Veterans Memorial Garden, 30th and “A” Street in Lincoln. At this time, all names of veterans of our Armed Forces, in Lancaster County, who passed away since the last Memorial Day Candlelight Service, are read in a solemn ceremony. ROLAND'S name will be read at this time. We invite you to come out for this service and bring your family and friends. (Bring lawn chairs)

Dear Don and the entire Brubaker family. I am very sorry to hear the bad news regarding your DAD and Husband. From the little time I spent with him, I measured a very outstanding and caring individual that will be missed immensely. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of the joyful times with him over many years.
Love to you all,
Sam

Don and all the Brubakers:
We share your loss and will keep you all in our prayers and thoughts. Gone does not mean forgotten as the spirit and memories are with you always. Take consolation that the suffering is over and that Dad is in a better place. All of your friends at IPC are thinking of you.

I have many memories of my childhood that include my Uncle Rod. He was more of a father than an uncle to my Mom; more of a grandfather to me than a great uncle. I will always remember his laugh, more of a chuckle, and his grin. I had an assignment in grade school to write about visiting a ranch and I wrote to him. He wrote back and I had kept that letter. I found the letter the other day after I recieved the phone call from my mother. It brought tears to my eyes; I could hear his voice just as if he were standing right next to me. His love for the ranch and the area was obvious in that later. He was humble in that letter, as he often was, and funny in that letter, as he often was too. Uncle Rod was a man who loved his family more than anything and loved his dogs like they were family. I love and will miss him.
