Ronald Wayne Pettinger, 77, of Lincoln passed away January 15, 2026.
Born December 8, 1948, in Pawnee City, Nebraska, to Richard and Evelyn (Mach) Pettinger.
Ron retired in 2016, after 35 years as a boilermaker for Cleaver Brooks (Nebraska) Boiler.
Family members include his sons, Bob Pettinger (Marla Bartlett), Omaha, and Brian (Saira) Pettinger, Lincoln; grandson, Jacob Pettinger; and nephew, Casey Pettinger.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Susan; and brothers, Ross and Larry.
Funeral service 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 O Street.
Visitation with family present from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2026, at Roper and Sons.
Memorials to Capital Humane Society or Nebraska Game and Parks.
