Russell Shook, 89, Buhler, Kans., died Wednesday (5/4/05) at Buhler Sunshine Home. Born, Decatur, Ark. (12/3/15), to A.C. and Matilda Bolen Shook. Lifetime resident, Hutchinson, Kan. Owner, Fourth Avenue Exchange. Longtime member: Bethany Nazarene Church, Hutchinson. Married, Martha Hegarty, April 10, 1937, at Lyons, Kan. She died July 4, 1998.

Survivors: sons, Dan, Longview, Wash., Jack, Cherry Hills, N.J., Steve, Hutchinson; daughter, Linda Christenson, Lincoln; sister, Nancy Cole, Mount Vernon, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: daughter, Katherine Shook; brothers, John and Ned Shook; sister Lola Swanson.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Ponwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson. Pastor Darrell Bisel. Burial to follow, Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation: 1-9 p.m., with family receiving friends, 6-8 p.m., Friday, funeral home. Memorials to the Bethany Nazarene Church, in care of the funeral home.
