How can anyone really understand what you are all going through, even now. Yet, Aleksas would want joy for you, not sorrow. He would want peace for you, not discourse. He would want Hope in your hearts, not desperate longing. I hope you can honor him with true joy, peace and hope.

Dear Drs. Trotter,
I just viewed the montage in memory of your wonderful son, Lex. I have never seen a more compassionate, loving tribute to anyone as the one you created. His life will always be remembered by those that also view this video. He was indeed a remarkable young man and truly loved by his friends and family. God Bless you Lex and your family as well.

We received a call early this morning from our daughter Carrie Lujan-Vallejo notifying us about Lex's passing. I met Lex through my daughter Carrie at the Olympic Trials in Los Angeles a few years ago and had the pleasure of spending a day at Disneyland with them both.
My wife Susan and I are deeply saddened by your loss and share in your grieving in the passing of your son/brother Lex. In reading Lex's Guest Book he was well respected, loved, talented, and a caring person. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

“Lex’s” last montage is just a continuation of Aleksas's brilliance. I never had an interest in gymnastics until I viewed his montages. I can not put into words why and how much his passing has and will affect me. I am in tears as I post this comment, I just hope Aleksas knew how much of a contribution he made in the short time he was in the world, something not everyone can have credited to their lives. I knew him through his accomplishments; those haunting eyes of his will never be forgotten as will his dedication to his obsession with gymnastic. I have watched all of his work since Aleksas left to be with God and it is not without tears every time for the loss we will all endure. His personal montages revealed how much he gave and how much he could care for someone. I just pray he realized how much love there was before he left. I wish I had a chance to have met you Aleksas.
Aleksas is with God now, and he will Rest In Peace, so Trotter family stay strong in this realization as you mourn.

Trotter family,
Please accept my deepest condolences... You may not know me, but I've been chatting with Aleksas for a few months now on the Internet. I'm a french boy from Paris and Gymnastics is what made us meet each other on his facebook account. Your son is and will always remain a wonderful being, so nice and friendly, with a lot to give.
I pray for him to rest in peace.
Wherever he may be, I wish he can tumble and have fun, and receive all the love his friends and family are sending him. I will never forget him and I will keep on praying for his soul to rest in peace.

A smile upon a little face with curly black hair,
hidding from his brothers and sister,
as I watched from the stairs.
"Aleksas," they called, as I watched him sneak pass me,
putting his finger to his nose whispering, "shhhhh, christie it's just me."
Through my eyes all I still see, is the little boy with the curly black hair smiling, waiting for me..
to hold his hand, to watch him play and listen to him play piano every day.
These images will last forever, as I was their child care provider for a moment in time,
for Aleksas will always be a precious memory of mine.
