WEST SALEM - Barbara L. Melster, 89, of West Salem, Wis., and formerly of Racine, Wis., passed away March 24, 2025, at Hearten House in La Crosse, Wis.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Neshonoc Cemetery in West Salem. More information may be found and online condolences may be offered at www.FredricksonFuneralHomes.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. I fondly remember my 1st babysitting job was for the family of Ed and Barbara Melster. My mom and dad, Willard and Eleanor Benish lived behind the Melster's house. I would hop the fence between our backyards while Ed and Barb played cards with my parents.
