Beth Klinkosh

STURTEVANT - Beth V. Klinkosh (Hornburg), 57, passed away Tuesday, December 24th after a 7 month battle with cancer. Beth was born on July 17, 1956 in Brookfield, and was a 1974 graduate of Brookfield East High School. Beth was united in marriage to Jerrold L. Klinkosh on July 30, 1979. Beth worked for 25 years at American Family Insurance in Racine. Beth loved spending time with her husband, children, and granddaughter. Surviving are her husband Jerrold, children, Melanie (Daniel) Maki, and Matthew Klinkosh, and her granddaughter, Logyn, whom she loved dearly. Beth was preceded in death by her father, Allan Hornburg. While enjoying retirement with her husband, Beth loved taking rides to the Wind Point Lighthouse and cruising the shores of Lake Michigan in Racine. She also took great pride in yard work and keeping her flowers beautiful. Beth and her husband also have taken several road trips over the past couple years with their son Matthew. Their travels included La Crosse, St. Louis, MO, various parts of Michigan, and Springfield, IL. She also absolutely loved music and singing her favorite songs. Beth's true joy was spending time with Logyn and spoiling her as much as possible She was thrilled at the thought of being able to watch Logyn daily, which always included a 'daily note' telling the fun things they did together that day. She was truly the best 'grandmom', as Logyn affectionately called her, a little girl could ask for. The family would also like to give a very special thank you to 'Mrs. B', Kathy Boxler, for helping with so many things throughout the years, and most importantly, always being there for Beth and her family. We would also like to recognize Hillary (Mark) Hansen, whom Beth always treated and loved as another daughter. Also, thank you to Shirley Servi, as well as Beth's other close friends who have always stood by her and her family. Memorial services in Beth's honor will be held at 11am on Friday, January 3, 2013 with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will begin at 10am. All are invited to visit with Beth's family in the funeral home on Thursday evening, January 2nd, from 5pm - 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in order to create a memorial in her honor. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Mullane and his staff at the Aurora Cancer Center and the medical team at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital, for their hard work and dedication in fighting this battle.
