Betty Daye Obituary

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. - Betty Jean (nee: Beal) Daye, 79, passed away peacefully at St. Therese Nursing Home in Minneapolis, Minn. on Saturday, September 28, 2007. She was born in Cape Girardeau, Mo. on June 19, 1928, to Flora Beal. She was a resident of Racine for more than 50 years until moving to Minnesota in 1998. In November of 1954 in Jackson, Mo., she was united in marriage to Jerry H. Daye Sr. Betty was a Homemaker and beloved mother of seven children. She is survived by her seven children, Michael (Vicki), Marcia, Janice, Jerry (Anjanette), Marilyn (Michael) Dorsey, Tommie (Dana), and Tracy (Joseph) Groves; one brother, Jerry (Annabelle) Beal, all of Minneapolis, Minn. area; and a host of relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry H. Daye Sr. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1123 Center Street, Racine, on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road, Racine, on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m.
