Constantin "Connie" Samios

Constantin Samios WATERFORD – Constantin “Connie” Samios passed away on February 10, 2014 at the Linden Grove Skilled Nursing Facility in Mukwonago, WI. He was born in Riga, Latvia on June 5, 1927, son of the late Theodore and Elvira Samios. He spent his early years in France, Switzerland and Greece before settling in Germany, where he studied Chemistry and Physics as well as becoming a professional Photographer. He emigrated to the United States in 1952, where he studied photojournalism in Missouri before moving to Racine, WI. There he met his wife, Clarice (Malm) Samios, and they married on September 1, 1962 and settled in Waterford, WI. He worked as the Photo and Graphics Art Director for the Northern Indian Public Service Company for over 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Clarice, his daughters, Abra (Kenneth) Dexter of Waterford, WI, Lara (Mike) Simmons of Bristol, WI, his grandchildren Nicolle Dexter and Erik Dexter of Waterford, WI. In his spare time he enjoyed philosophizing with his friends; photography, building and woodworking. A celebration of Connie’s life will be held for family and friends at the Cotton Exchange in Waterford, WI on Saturday, February 22 from 5 to 8 pm.
