Before our family moved to Florida I had a lawn mower accident in which a coat hanger went thru my calf. My leg became very infected and amputation was likely. Dr. Cohill spent the night before the likely surgery praying for me and for healing. I have both legs. I will also remember him wonderfully teaching reform theology in Sunday School class even though we were in a Baptist Church. I respected and esteemed the man. Our thoughts are with you all. I will try to honor his legacy by praying for all of you as you deal without the patriarch (Dr. Don)

He was the first Dr. to ever operate on me and later treated everyone in my family at one time or another. A great man and a great Dr. He will be missed.

Lorna and family, We want to assure you of our prayers for all of you, today and in the tomorrows. Don touched a lot of lives and we are so grateful for his testimony in our lives. We teased that Don taught Romans at least for a 100 years and now he is with that wonderful Savior that he taught about. He will never be forgotten. Love from Joe and Jacque

Dr. Cohill was a very good friend of my dad, Dr. James J.G. Petersen. I know they had many great times with the hospital Bible Study together. I was sorry to hear he is gone, but I know he and my dad are probably talking away in heaven. What a joy we have knowing we will see them again. I send you hugs and heartfelt prayers during this time. I had great respect and confidence in Dr. Cohill when I needed him as a doctor, too. He spoke at my dad's funeral and it meant a great deal to me all the wonderful things he shared. I know he will be greatly missed.

I worked with Dr. Cohill when he was Medical Director of Patient Relations. I appreciated him so much! His wisdom and sense of humor made it easy to work with him-I will be praying for your family during these days. I know you take comfort that he is with the Lord!
