Earl Krahn Obituary
Earl "Larry" Krahn, of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his home on September 6, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on November 29, 1946, in Racine, Wisconsin, Larry lived a life marked by dedication to his work, deep love for his family, and a passion for the simple joys of nature.
Larry built a respected career as a master plumber and was a proud member of the plumbers' union for 37 years. He began his career with Dickert Brothers Plumbing in Racine, where he worked for 17 years, then spent 8 years at Southern Wisconsin Center before retiring in 2009 from Jackson Correctional. His strong work ethic and commitment to his craft left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him.
Beyond his professional life, Larry was known for his unwavering devotion to his family and the enduring bond he shared with his beloved wife, Linda. Together for 60 years, Larry and Linda were inseparable-a true partnership that stood the test of time. Larry was proud to have raised two sons who served our country in the Army and the Marine Corps. His sons blessed him with four grandchildren, whom he adored.
Larry found joy in life's quieter moments. He loved watching the Brewers and Packers, fishing, and spending time on the water. He enjoyed long car rides with Linda by his side and treasured days spent swimming or relaxing on the beach in Florida. These simple pleasures brought him peace and reflected his appreciation for nature's beauty.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; sons Randy (Kelly) and Steve; grandchildren Ally (Ryan) Boerger, Lizzie Wilson, Dakota Maritch, and Skylor Krahn; and great-grandchildren Christopher, Nathan, Natalie, Kailynn, and Isiah. He is also survived by brothers-in-law Larry Kapellusch (Milwaukee, WI), Vic Weinfurter (Kenosha, WI), Gene (Sabina) Wildes (Sherman, TX), and Dave (Tina) Wildes (Racine, WI); and sister-in-law Doreen (Jeff) Burnside (Franklin, WI). Each of them carries forward cherished memories of time spent together-whether gathered around the table or enjoying the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and June; mother- and father-in-law, Dale and Louise Wildes; brother, Nick; and sisters, Judy and Linda.
A memorial service for Larry will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Torgerson's Funeral Home in Black River Falls. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
May Earl "Larry" Krahn's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a reminder of a life well lived-rooted in love, loyalty, and quiet strength.
