James Mazzulla Obituary

BARRINGTON, ILL. - James A. Mazzulla, 95, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at his home. He was born in Italy on March 10, 1912. Mr. Mazzulla received his Undergraduate and Law Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also played shortstop for the University Baseball Team. He was a baseball enthusiast. Mr. Mazzulla was a retired Labor Relations Attorney for United Parcel Service. He was a member of St. Anne Church and was a devoted husband and father, who loved his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Surviving are his son, James F. (Karen) Mazzulla of Barrington Hills, Ill.; three grandchildren, James F. Jr., Elizabeth A., and John P. Mazzulla, all of Barrington Hills, Ill.; and one sister, Claire (the late Elmer) Ricchio of Racine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne M. (nee: Oliva); parents, Joseph and Rose (nee: Fallico); and by siblings, Dorothy (Earl) Stieg and Frank Mazzulla. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne Church, corner of Franklin and Ela Streets, in Barrington, Ill. on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington, Ill.Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. He will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Please omit flowers. Memorials suggested to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 South Haeger Avenue, Barrington, Ill. 60010.
