I was not able to know Jim very well, but I have two strong memories.

My family was in Racine for a wedding and Jim had a '55 Chevy hot rod. It was too cool. And it was for sale. I remember begging my Dad to let me buy it. Jim said it only got 2 mpg. To a teenager like me, that wasn't an issue.

The other memory was at my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Jim, Rick and their families drove down for it. I got to spend much of the evening visiting with them. Afterward, I wished we lived closer because they were so cool.

IT'S BEEN ALONG TIME SINCE WE SAW JIMMY, BUT HE SURE WAS A NICE GUY. HE'S AT PEACE NOW.

I worked with Jim at the Town of Caledonia for nearly 6 years. He always threw up his hand to give a wave no matter what he was doing. You will be in my thoughts Jim. May you be in a peaceful place.
