James E. "Jimmy" Olson

RACINE - God needed someone special when James E. 'Jimmy' Olson, 50, was called home Monday, August 30, 2004. He was born in Racine April 29, 1954, son of the late Harold G. and Shirley J. (nee: Niss) Olson and was a lifelong Racine resident. Jimmy was a graduate of William Horlick High School "Class of 1973." He was employed by the Town of Caledonia Highway Department for many years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting with special friends, but above all, was very proud of his daughters. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his daughters, Dana Olson of Racine, Kirra Olson of Fort Polk, La.; brother, Richard (Mira) Olson of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Linda Olson of Racine; his niece, Elizabeth (David) Chilen of Mesa, Ariz.; other relatives and many dear friends. A Memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 4, 2004, 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
