Joanne M. Dunk Larson

RACINE - JoAnne M. (nee: Carlson) Dunk Larson, 71, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 9, 2004. She was a resident of Racine, born on September 5, 1933, to Alvin and Martha (nee: Qualheim) Carlson. She was united in marriage to Thomas Dunk in 1952 and later married Richard Larson in 1980. JoAnne was Vice-President of Horizon Credit Union until her retirement in 1998. She was a lifelong and active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she also sang in the choir. JoAnne's greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with them and will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Eileen (Randy) Gales, Michael (Diane) Dunk, Colleen (Cliff) Kogutkiewicz, all of Racine, Kevin (Cindy) Centell-Dunk of Maitland, Fla., Christopher (Susan) Dunk of Kenosha, Thomas (Sue) Dunk, and James (Sara) Dunk, all of Racine; 10 grandchildren, Alex, Andy, and Ashley Kogutkiewicz, Adric and Kara Centell-Dunk, and Aaron, Brandon, Travis, Tegan, and Gideon Dunk; uncle and aunt, Ed (Erna) Qualheim; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Dunk, Lee (Jean) Dunk, Robert (Judy) Tinnen, Gene (Judy) Dunk, and William Mousseau. Further survived by Jim Larsen's children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, which she loved as her own, Alan (Joan) Larsen, Ken (Wendy) Larsen, Julie (Mike) Willis, and Cheryl Hewitt; grandchildren, Eric Larsen, Nicole Larsen, Josh Clemens, Alex Larsen, Amber Willis, Josh Willis, and Shawn Hewitt; and great-granddaughter, Stacy. Other relatives and many dear friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; and loving companion, Jim Larsen. Funeral services will be held at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3805 Kinzie Avenue, on Friday, November 12, 2004, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Pam Kerschner officiating. There will be a time to meet with family and friends at the church on Friday before services from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church have been suggested.
