Kenneth Ruehle

RACINE - Kenneth Ruehle, 86, passed away on Thursday May 15, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan -All Saints in Racine. Kenneth was born on January 18, 1928 in Illinois, the son of the late Christopher & Ida (Damkey) Ruehle. Kenneth was a member of the U.S. Army. He married Patricia Wilgus on February 4, 1950 in Springfield, IL. Kenneth was employed as an over the road truck driver for Consolidated Freightways for many years, driving for American Motors, Jewel, and Arco. His hobbies included reading, collecting coins, woodworking, he was passionate about plants & flowers, and spending time with family and friends. Ken enjoyed traveling and taking road trips with his family, his travels took him overseas and through 40 of the United States. While working for Consolidated Freightways, he earned many safety awards including an award for driving 3 million miles without an accident. Kenneth is survived by his his wife, Patricia Ruehle of Racine; children, Bernard (Candy) Ruehle of GA, Pamela (Dennis) Jahns of Kenosha; 6 grandchildren, Sissy (Gary) Kelly, Kenny (Jennifer) Ruehle, Lori Jahns, Amanda (Bob) Becker, Andrea (Dan) Bendon, Abbey (James Gum) Jahns ; and 12 great grandchildren, J.R., Jasmine, K.J., Sadie, Brandon, Kaila, Natalie, Ruby, Zoe, Jared, Tyler, and Liam; and many other family members & friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Udell Ruehle. A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2014 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 5-7:00 p.m. with Military Honors and funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m. Private entombment at West Lawn Memorial Park, Racine, WI.
