Margaret Michna Obituary

RACINE - Margaret H. Michna, 92, passed away at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Margaret was born in Bear Creek on August 18, 1917, to Gust and Anna (nee: Schroeder) Timmel. She married Orrin Michna in Bear Creek on February 11, 1961. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1997. Margaret retired from Hamilton Beach. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Sewing Group at the church. Margaret will always be remembered for the many baby quilts she made for family and friends' little ones. She was also a great cook. Her wonderful cakes and cookies will be missed by everyone, who was lucky enough to taste some. Margaret is survived by her sister-in-law, Irene Michna; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in- law, Douglas and Margie Timmel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and Clarence Stritesky and Bernice and Leonard Riske; and brother-in- law, Frank Michna. Funeral services for Margaret will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Susan K. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Bohemian National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
