Marie Chardukian

RACINE - Marie Chardukian, 84, passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Marie was born in Beirut, Lebanon on April 22, 1933 to Mgrditch and Mariam Tanielian. She married Gene Chardukian on July 6, 1959 and moved to the United States in 1960. Marie was a talented Seamstress. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Marie was an avid baker and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She travelled several times by Amtrak train enjoying the scenic view to visit her family in California. Marie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Darlene Chardukian, Grandchildren, Lauren, Marina and Jonathan, Sisters-in-law Gulkhatir Tanielian and Elise (Henry) Russian, brother-in-law Phillipe (Noelle) Tcheurdukian and God daughter Christine Russian. She is also survived by other relatives and friends in Illinois, California, London, Lebanon and Racine. Marie was preceded in death by her husband on January 22, 2016 and brother Artine Tanielian. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Avedis Kelegian officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
