Pamela Robbins Obituary
My beautiful sister received her wings - it was her time to fly.
Born in Racine to Richard and Ruth (Harcus) Ostrander, Pam inherited her father's stubbornness and pride, blended with her mother's kindness and smile. She married her soulmate, Lonnie Robbins, on May 14, 1983, at Holy Communion Church.
Evidence of their love lives on through their sons Lonnie and William (Robin) Robbins. Pam's greatest pride and joy was her family - lovely granddaughters Kenna and Jay and handsome grandsons Zack and Wade brought her endless happiness and love; I know, because she told me so.
She loved watching her grandkids play sports, listening to her music turned up loud, and horror movies. She enjoyed fishing, watching the deer, feeding the birds, and hunting for wild asparagus along the roadside - something learned from our dad. Pam was an excellent cook, just like our mom. She loved the smell of lilacs and cherished family vacations near the ocean!
Pam worked as a receptionist at Lewisan until her illness made it impossible to continue. Many were unaware of the illnesses she endured for more than 35 years. Despite her pain, she was always a mother, wife, daughter, aunt, and sister first, there with a smile - If you needed a meal, a place to stay, a ride, or just someone to listen.
Thank you, Sis, for the memories - growing up, calls and FaceTimes, sharing coffee, playing Yahtzee, dining out, laughs, and tears. Thank you for being my sister. Love always, Your big sis.
Pam was the middle child, survived by her siblings Diane (Paul) Kaye, Rich (Sandy) and Leroy Ostrander, Twila (Scott) Berkley, June Lyvere, and Dawn (Shawn) Looman. Bonus sisters, Nikki Milford, Lisa Gister, and Dawn Tillman.
She is also survived by her beloved godchildren*, nieces, and nephews: Kelly and Ariel (Santi) Kaye, Elise (Bryan) Hoaglund, Velnet (Jason) Pier, Becky (Brian) Tolejano, Jeremy (Jess) Ostrander, Amanda* (Jake) Callis, Leroy Jr.*, Joshua, and Megan Ostrander, Genevieve* (Brent) Fermanich, Brandon (Marisa) Looman, Jimi (Shayla) Shenkenberg, Angel (Gavin) Glass, Chrissy* Ostrander, Ashley (Bret) Stratton, and Dylan Looman. She will also be deeply missed by many great-nieces/nephews, cousins and friends.
Private Celebration of life to be announced later.
