I had the pleasure of meeting Richard when I volunteered at the Vet Home in UG. Even as his condition progressed, his wit and sense of humor were awesome. I really enjoyed shooting games of pool with him, talking Marquette basketball, and Elvis. We liked to talk about Elvis. I was always touched by how proud he was of his family. He sure adored his grandkids. Most importantly, Richard and I liked to talk about Jesus and what he has done for us. We always prayed together before we said goodbye. Thanks to Christ I'll see my friend again one day. Who knows? Maybe we will see Elvis too. My prayers are with your family as you grieve. God bless you.
