Our sincere sympathies to Aunt Ruth's family. Eventhough we didn't live close, I always remember seeing her and Uncle Louie at the annual Gaastra Reunions with their family. Every time we have kringle, we are reminded of your family. The reunions always had many laughs, fun, and great food as a family. May your memories and God's grace comfort you through this time.

Our deepest sympathy for the lose of Ruth. She was a special person with a heart of gold. I have many fond memories of her. I will never forget how kind she was to me back in 1983 when I was a new cna. She took me under her wings taught me the ropes. She was the best.for that I always be grateful.

Pa and I did not make it to the visitation tonight. Pa was to weak for me to get in and out of the car. Just know that out prayers and thoughts are with you all. I'm sure Mom and Ruth will see each other now. I will miss your mom very much also. Our family and yours was so close when we were growing up. And I took Pa in to see your mom several times. The last he saw her was during both their stays at OakRidge. Your mom was always so active, it's hard to belive that she is with your dad now. will try to get Pa to the funeral tomorrow. Our prayers are with you. Sam and Kaye Deacon and Pa VanSwol

I know that Ms. Gaastra will be greatly missed by all family and friends. Her grand daughter Amanda is my best friend. Her son, Rich and his wife Melody are like second parents to me. I am so sorry for your loss. She is in a better place now with her husband and daughter. Her suffering is over. Amanda has told me she loved Tulips. Well, now she can have a whole field of them if she wants. God will take care of her now and he will take care of your grief as well, in time. The entire family is in my prayers.
