Ruth Jacobson Obituary

SOUTH MILWAUKEE - Ruth L. Jacobson, 72, formerly of Wind Lake, passed away at Willowcrest Care Center in South Milwaukee on Thursday, May 19, 2005. Ruth was born in the Town of Norway on June 19, 1932, to Clarence and Mabel (nee: Rossum) Jacobson. She was a lifelong Wind Lake area resident. She attended Col. Heg Grade School, the Racine Agricultural School in Rochester and graduated from Milwaukee State Teacher's College. She was an elementary school teacher at Union Grove and later taught at Mill Valley Grade School in Waukesha County. Ruth was a member of Norway Lutheran Church in Wind Lake where she sang in the church choir. Ruth is survived by one sister, Arla Bakken of Laverne, MN; and four brothers, Paul (Dorothy) Jacobson of Wind Lake, Rev. David (Jacky) Jacobson of Dodgeville, Rev. Howard (Lois) Jacobson of DeKalb, IL, and Donald (Joanne) Jacobson of Waterford. She is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother-in-law, Helmer Bakken. Funeral services will be at Norway Lutheran Church in Wind Lake on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Rasmus officiating. Burial will be at Norway Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. in the church. Memorials are suggested to Norway Lutheran Church.
