October 31, 1956 - September 18, 2025
Racine – Steven Allen Musil, affectionately known to many as "Otis," age 68, passed away peacefully, surrounded with the love of family, on September 18, 2025, at Ascension All Saints Hospital.
Steven was born in Racine, Wis., on October 31, 1956, to the late Raymond and Virginia (nee: Heckel) Musil. A graduate of Walden III High School, Steve and his brother, Chuck, co-owned and operated Musil Bros. Meat Market, located at 76th Street & Rawson Avenue in Franklin.
Steve lived and breathed his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, Badger Heritage Chapter. He loved his antique bike and traveling throughout the United States, in Canada and Mexico. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially the annual grouse hunting trip with his dad, brothers, Uncle Wayne and lifelong friend, Steve Larsen. Most of all, he was extremely grateful for being saved by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Surviving are his sister, Brenda (Craig) Baumstark; brother, Chuck (Paula Washow) Musil; sister-in-law, Karen Musil; former wife, Vicki Musil; nephews, of whom he was so proud, Ray Baumstark, Shane (Ashlea) Baumstark, Luke (Teesa) Musil and Ross (Melissa) Musil; grand-niece, McKinley Musil; dear aunt, Vicky Heckel; close friend, Bill Stritchko, who thought of him as a brother; other relatives; and an extensive circle of friends, too numerous to mention all by name.
In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Richard "Dickie" Musil and David "Lucky" Musil; and stepson, Reggie Baum.
The family is hosting a celebration of life gathering at Infusino's Banquet Hall, 3201 Rapids Drive, on Friday, October 17, 2025, beginning at 5 p.m., with a brief service starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by food and fellowship.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt note of thanks to Jeff and Bette Janicki for the compassionate care and support given to Otis in his time of need.
