Veronica Cacciotti Obituary

Veronica “Bonnie” Prout (nee: Buckett) Cacciotti RACINE – Veronica “Bonnie” Prout Cacciotti, 90, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at The Villa at Lincoln Park. Veronica was born in the Town of Norway on February 26, 1925, daughter of the late John and Josephine Buckett. She was a lifelong resident of Racine and a graduate of Racine County Agricultural School. Veronica married Charles Prout in January of 1945 and he passed away in July of 1967. She then married Jerry Cacciotti, Sr. in June of 1969 and he passed away in June of 1998. Veronica was employed by Mamco for 12 years and did catering for a number of years. She was involved with the Marjorietts, sewing sequins on hundreds of uniforms, dance recital costumes and holiday crafts. Veronica belonged to Friends of Seniors and enjoyed square dancing, rug hooking, hosting large Thanksgivings, gardening, playing bingo, cards and a well-made brandy old fashioned. She especially enjoyed her times camping and fishing with her grandchildren. She adored her great grandchildren, Bro & Drew. Veronica will be dearly missed by her son, Patrick (Patricia) Prout of Racine; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brant) Boelts of Olympia, Washington, Brian (Amanda) Prout of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Mark Regnier of Kenosha, WI and Mike Rowland of Racine, WI.; great grandchildren, Andrew Prout and Brolin Boelts, sister, Patricia Morman, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Veronica Prout Cacciotti was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Marie (Jerry) Herman, Irene (Arnold) Oakes and brothers, Francis (Leona) Buckett and Vincent (Ruth) Buckett. Mass of Christian Burial for Veronica will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie Street, with Reverend Steve Varghese officiating. Friends and relatives may meet Sunday, February 14th, at Sturino Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Monday at church at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Holy Cross Cemetery on HWY 32. Memorials to the family have been suggested. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staffs at The Villa at Lincoln Park, Wheaton Franciscan Hospital and Hospice Alliance for their loving and compassionate care. Patrick and Patty - I am so sorry about your Mom. She was one strong lady. I have such fond memories of when she and your Dad, my Uncle chuck, visited the farm when we were kids.
