Warren Whitley Obituary

Warren E. Whitley

December 11, 1934 - September 10, 2025

STURTEVANT - Warren E. Whitley, 90, of Sturtevant, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Ascension Hospital in Franklin.

Born in Union Grove, Wis. on December 11, 1934, he was the son of Everett and Margaret (nee Osenga) Whitley. On March 27, 1954, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Baumgart. Following marriage, they made Union Grove their home, of which he was a lifetime resident. He was a devoted husband to Marilyn for the past 71 years, and her dedicated caregiver in recent years.

Warren worked as a farmer on the family farm and later for Farmers Grain & Supply. He was also a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church and the Union Grove Cemetery Board. He was always ready to crack a joke and tell a good story. In addition to his humor, he was a great source of wisdom for his family. He enjoyed bowling, mowing his lawn, gardening and Sunday Pool Days. He also enjoyed attending his grandkids events. His name will live on through his four namesakes.

Warren is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Susan (Michael) Siech, Kevin Whitley and Doug Whitley; grandchildren, Amy Siech, Alyssa (Bryce) Nordaune, Shawn Squires, Destiny (Ray) Goetz, Kyle (Rachel) Whitley, Jenna (Nick) Kuchler, Kellon Whitley, Ashley (Keith) Seay and Andrew (Brandy) Whitley; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Benjamin, Gunnar, Austin, Bryce, Bella, Jace, Lukas, Kyle (Abby), Gabby (Taylor), Kallie, Warren, Karsyn and Harrison; great-great grandchildren, Lainey, Laken, Logan, Rory and Declan; siblings, Helen (Harry) Erickson and Tom (Nancy) Whitley; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Charlie Squires.

The family would like to thank Vadika, Warren's caregiver, for her care during past several months.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Grove United Methodist Church or Union Grove Fire and Rescue.

Services for Warren will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at Union Grove Cemetery.
