I had the pleasure of taking care of Alan while he was in the hospital. I am blessed that I got to meet him and his family. He was a great man and I enjoyed his company. We liked to talk sports. To his family-You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I first met Alan when the Spiegels moved in next door on Meinecke Street. Oh, what sweet memories...summers filled with chasing watermelon trucks and staying up past curfew; winters of snow ball fights and buidling forts. There were almost enough of us Stones to pair up with a Speigel. We grow up and some of us move away...losing touch with dear friends, but the memories remain. Alan, you made growing up on Meinecke Street a little more special. May all whose lives you touched know how blessed they are.

Judi and family,
I saw Alan's obituary in yesterday's newspaper and I wanted to offer my condolences. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Judy - I attempted to secure your address to send you a note of sympathy - however, couldn't find one. I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am that Alan must leave at "this young age of 60". It shocks me to realize it is now our turn to say good bye to those we love. And it is happening more often than not.

My sincere thoughts of Alan are of respect ....and humor, as you cannot think of Alan without thinking of Bruce. And the two together made us all smile, back in the days. Alan was truly one of few from our high school years that I have memories of being a gentlemen and friend. Take care and hold true to the shared memories you had with Alan.

Yours in Christ,
Kris Schaus-Ordman
