Alexia Dudley Obituary

Dudley, Alexia I. (Nee Stilp) Passed into Eternal Life and found peace on March 29, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Alexia was 35 years old. Beloved wife on Donald Dudley, loving mother of Isabella and Jack, cherished daughter of Katherine and Gerald Stilp, sister of Emmaline Stilp, Andrew (Sarah) Stilp, of Madison and Christian (Rebecca) Stilp, of Cleveland. Daughter-in-law of Bryan Dudley and Ann Riegert-Dudley, sister-in-law of Rachel (Brandon) Eggert. Also remembered by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many dear friends. Alexia was a loving wife, daughter and sister, and an inspiration in the truest sense of the word: a model Christian, citizen, family member, student, and role model to many. The oldest of four children, she blazed a trail built upon earnestness and hard work, setting the best possible example for her younger siblings. Her kindness, intelligence and humor permeated everything she did. Her indomitable spirit will always live on in those who knew and loved her. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated for Alexia at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 734 Glenview Avenue, Wauwatosa on Monday, April 2, at 11:30 AM, with a visitation at the church beginning at 10 AM. A private burial will be held at St. Mary's Visitation Cemetery. Alexia was a graduate of Devine Savior Holy Angels High School and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She shared her professional working career with Arthur Anderson, Peat Marwick, Bearing Point and Jefferson Wells. Memorials are suggested to Devine Savior Holy Angels High School. A special work of appreciation for Alexia's care is given to Dr. Kurt Oesterling and the staff at the Zilber Family Hospice.

Dear Donnie & Family,

Words cannot fully express the sorrow I hold for you at this time. Alexia along with you and her family fought the good fight for her to overcome the cancer that ravaged her body. Her faith and spirit never failed, it was simply her body that couldn't take it any more. It is during this Holy Week we are summoned to believe that Alexia's "life is simply changed not ended." Donnie and family may that aspect of our faith strengthen you at this difficult time. I hold you in prayer.

In the Risen Christ,
Fr. Marv Knighton
