Al you will be missed by your family and friends. You were a great husband to my best friend, godfather to my daughter and friend to me. This world is less without you in it. Condolences to Cathy and your siblings.

My godfather, Al, was one of the best men to ever walk this Earth. He was strong, loyal, loving, always game for a laugh and one of the toughest SOBs you could ever meet. He was a Marine, he loved to sky dive, he spent twenty-some years building their dream home with my godmother, Cathy. He was stubborn as hell and gave cancer a run for it's money. He was never without a hat of some kind and today I got to keep the hat he wore to our wedding. I wish everyone could have an Al. Today's memorial service was one of the hardest things I've had to live through but, even in the sadness, you could see how much he was loved and how greatly he will be missed. I'm trying to focus on the good and here's the best I can come up with: I truly have the coolest godparents ever. I'm very lucky to have been in Al's life and to have had him in mine. Tonight, raise a glass to this incredible man who lived life on his terms and to the fullest. #RIP
