Anthony Mossakowski Obituary

Mossakowski, Anthony Age 88, of Oregon, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Wed., Sept. 24, 2008. He was born on Jan. 16, 1920. Anthony was selected by his friends and neighbors to serve his country during World War II. He served in South Africa, Italy and France, and after four years in the military, Anthony returned to the U.S. to marry his childhood sweetheart, Catherine Meka in 1945. Anthony worked for United Parcel Service in Milwaukee, retiring after 35 years with the company. He is survived by his two children, Richard (Sharon) Mossakowski of Shawano, and Jacqueline (William) LaDell of Oregon; five grandchildren, Lynette (John) Pritchard, Jennifer LaDell, Tony (Tina) Mossakowski, Peter (Laura) Mossakowski, and Aimee (Michael) LaDell-Sharp; eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Anthony was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine in June 2008, and his parents. Funeral services will be held at the HOSPICECARE CHAPEL, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, at 1 PM, on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, with Father Donald Murray presiding. Inurnment will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at 11 AM, at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Oregon, with military rites conducted.
