Anton Salopek Obituary

Salopek, Anton F. Of St. Francis, passed away December 23, 2013, at the age of 65. Beloved father of Sean (Roberta Vance) Larscheist, Christine (Eric) Metzger and Karen Salopek. Loving grandfather of Austin and Cadia Metzger. Loving son of Angie (the late Frank) Salopek. Dear brother of Ray and Terry Salopek. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Tony attended St. Francis High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Tony was always working on something. He loved making things out of wood. He also loved working on old cars, fixing them and painting them. He also enjoyed fixing and restoring bikes. Tony was very passionate about everything he did. That passion has been passed down through his children and grandchildren. The family will be receiving gusets at the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 11 from 2 to 4PM.

Dad as I sit here with the boxes of stuff you left behind, I wonder, why are you in an urn the first time by my house, when I invited you so many times? Now I guess you are stuck with me. You stay next to my bed.
