Art Nerding

Nerding, Art Died peacefully Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the age of 66 after a long, valiant fight with cancer. Art is survived by his beloved wife Cathy (nee Rieves), sister Doris (Dave) Rogge, brothers-in-law Dan (Wendy) Rieves, and Dave (Pam) Rieves, his goddaughter Kelly, dear friends Kay and Marc Whiten, nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Luise Nerding. Born in Cologne, Germany, Art moved to Saskatoon, Canada as a child and later Milwaukee, where he settled. He earned a degree in structural engineering from UW-M and proudly served our country in Vietnam. Art had a great fondness for animals. He was also very proud of his German heritage, loved Germanfest, was a keen traveler with his friends, and particularly loved Hawaii. Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home in Brookfield on Saturday, July 18th from 1:00 to 2:45 PM. Funeral Service 3:00 PM. "Maui No Ka Oi! Aloha! Auf Wiedersehen!"
