Arthur Stamfel Obituary

Stamfel, Arthur Clifford "Cliff" Born to Eternal Life on March 2, 2017, at the age of 87. Loving husband of Elizabeth (nee Haines), for 60 years. Adored father of Richard Stamfel and Sally Neklewicz. Special father-in-law of Rick Neklewicz. Brother of Richard L. "Jake" Stamfel of Northumberland, PA. A private memorial service was held. His final resting place is in Picture Rocks, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Elmbrook Humane Society would be appreciated. Cliff was born in Northumberland, PA. After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force where he was a championship boxer. After his service, he returned to PA and graduated from Susquehanna University where he played football under Amos Alonzo Stagg. He had a successful lifetime career with Aetna Life and Casualty. He was also a member of Elm Grove Community Methodist Church, Tripoli Shriners, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, American Legion, Moose, a lifetime member of Elks, and a member of the Penn State Alumni Association. Athletic his entire life, Cliff was an accomplished tennis player winning countless trophies in singles and doubles. His passion was college football, and enjoyed traveling to Big 10 games where Penn State was playing including many trips to the Outback Bowl and Rose Bowl. Cliff was a true lover of animals and wildlife. A special thank you to all the caring and supporting staff at Franciscan Woods in Brookfield, and a special thank you to Denise and Christine.
