Barbara Schwab Obituary

Cary, NC. 57 years old, died Sunday morning, January 2, 2005.

Barbara was the oldest child of Harry and Dorothy Marx. She was raised in Wisconsin and attended high school and college there. She earned a Master's degree from Sorbonne University in Paris, France. Upon returning to the United States, she earned a second degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cary, NC.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Henry N. Schwab; step-daughter, Deborah (Edward McReady); three grandchildren, Alexa, Brandyn, and Eddie; her sisters, Diane (Gregory) Shrobis, Nancy (Larry) Schmidt, and Janet Miech; her brothers, James Marx, Ronald Marx, Donald Marx, and Richard Marx, and nieces and nephews, Cecily, Michelle, Bethany, Lindsay, Stephanie, Laura, Jennifer, Brittany, Rebecca, Andrew, Tyler, Nicholas, Paul, Zachary, Kevin and Bryan.

Barbara is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Gregory Shrobis, and her nephew, Scott Miech.

Visitation will be at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, on Monday, January 3, 2005, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cary at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 4, 2005, followed by burial at Wake Memorial Park in Cary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cary.

I worked with Barbara at DMA for the state of NC before I retired in July 2004. I was out of town when Babara passed away and was not in Rleigh the day she was buried. My sincere condolences to all family members.
