Bernhard Emery Obituary

Emery, Bernhard Ethan Died on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at AngelsGrace Hospice, in the town of Oconomowoc. Bernie was born March 10, 1938 to Ethan and Agnes (nee Wenzel) Emery, Palmyra, Wisconsin. He grew up in the Palmyra area and graduated from Palmyra High School. After working for the local telephone company and serving in the National Guard during the Berlin crisis, Bernie moved to a farm south of Oconomowoc in 1970. For the next twenty five years he developed his herd of registered Ayrshire cattle. By the time he retired, his Bittersweet cattle were well known throughout the Midwest. Bernie was exceedingly proud of his sons and their wives and was entertained and delighted by his grandchildren. Bernie leaves behind his wife of forty seven years Patricia (nee Leonard); his sons Michael (Anissa) of Appleton, and Daniel (Teresa) of Norman, Oklahoma, and his grandchildren Amelia Claire, Benjamin Ethan and Maeve Isabel. He is further survived by his sister Pat Wallace and his brothers and their wives, Loren and Anita Emery of Waukesha and Ethan and Vicki Emery of Sullivan, as well as a host of relatives, in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alice and Wilma and brother Larry. Bernie has donated his body to science. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Bernie's Life on Monday, November 7, 2011, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1443 Pabst Farms Circle, Oconomowoc, WI.
