Betty Walt Obituary

(Nee Genske) March 1, 2006. Age 82. Beloved wife for 53 years of the late James L. Walt. Loving mother of James, David (Mary Lou) and Wendy (Jerry) Simonich. Wonderful grandmother of Thomas and Teresa Walt, Kim and Linda Walt, and Anna and Elly Simonich. Dear sister of Mary Ann Feller, Tom Genske, the late Bill Genske and the late Mickey Adams. Further survived by her brother-in-law, Buck (Mary) and many nieces, nephews and other cherished relatives whose lives she touched.

Betty was an active member in several Catholic Churches, Christ Child Society and other volunteer groups, and was always there to lend a helping hand however she could. Betty was a very warm and social person with numerous good friends. Her interests included tennis, golf and bridge, but she would join in anything that others were doing, as her real interest was in interacting with people. Her illness at the end of her life robbed her of her capabilities, but she met this with courage and dignity. Her life was a blessing and her spirit blesses us still.

Visitation Monday, March 6 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 12130 W. Center St., Wauwatosa from 9:30AM until the Memorial Mass at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Anne's Home for the Elderly, 3800 North 92 Street, Milwaukee WI 53222, which provided extremely compassionate care to Betty in her last days.
