Bradley Bill Obituary

Bradley Bill

Age 66, from the time he was a child it was apparent that he had a passion and gift for music. While working on his masters degree in Madison he was taken under the wing of Bass Legend Richard Davis. Throughout his career, Brad played in numerous rock and blues bands with many Legendary Artists. Playing and practicing bass was a daily commitment which he continued through his last day. Brad is survived by his loving family and friends. Per Bradley's wishes there will be no visitation or services. We ask that you celebrate life to its fullest in Bradley's honor.

Brad was my first bass instructor around 1999, I was about 13 years old. He taught me a lot of important concepts and tricks about bass, I was always excited to go to my lessons. I was really hoping to reconnect with him at some point, he was a great guy, always nice to me. I could tell that my progress excited him inside. This one really hurts. My condolences go out to everyone who knew Brad. If someone could please direct me to any recordings of Brad playing bass please let me know, it would really be appreciated.

Bradley you will always have a special place in my heart. If not for you and your significant place as a bass player and band member in one of my top favorite blues bands in Milwaukee in the late nineties, I would not have met or know your brother, my beloved life partner Brian.
I will always appreciate that we had a love for The Blues and friends that played them in Milwaukee, in common.
I will continue to think of you every time I hear a really good blues bass line.
From the beginning you were always kind to me and welcomed me from being one of your fans to being one of your family.
I will miss baking and sending you my holiday cookies, those pecan fingers you loved so much.
Thank you Brad Blue Bill for being you. You were loved and you will be missed.

Great friends since grade school Brad got me started playing the guitar. I was in my first band, The Fog, with Brad. He played Bass I was on Guitar. We played at our junior high school graduation back in 1968. In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. See you on the eternal tour.

Dear Brian and Avery,
Im so sorry to learn of Brads passing. What a sad time this must be for you both. Thank you for sharing how music and his bass playing continued to bring him joy and meaning throughout his life. That is certainly what I experienced, and what I wanted for him.

Uncle Brad- I sure wish I could talk to you one more time, and hear about how you had taken care of your tasks for the day and now you were ready to play some bass. In many ways you lived the most pure life of anyone I have ever known. You knew the things you enjoyed and valued in life and those were the things you did. I always knew I was important to you, and that I was loved. You were a link to the past that I promise to keep alive. I will miss you greatly.

Dearest Brian,
Words seem so empty, so difficult to truly express, but you are forever held in my heart now and always. The memories have always been with me and have totally washed over me today as I read of Brads Passing. Its been nearly 50 years since he and you came into my life on a late Friday night as he and my brother Mike were unloading a particular Buick Station Wagon of band equipment. Although our intertwined lives took many different roads and paths with numerous twists and turns and though we all cane to live vastly different separate lives, the Love, the memories and all the shared experiences, laughs and tears always and continue to bond our hearts and souls.

With Love then, now and forever,
Marguerite

I have known Brad and his family since my early childhood in Whitefish Bay. He was extremely funny and talented. I looked upon him as an older brother, but only cooler. In 2000, I had the honor of being able to purchase their beautiful home in the old neighborhood that continually bring back wonderful memories of our youth in the 60's. We are saddened to learn of his passing and our thoughts and prayers are with his devoted and equally wonderful brother Brian.
