Bryan Leas Obituary

Leas, Bryan Elliott Joined our Lord peacefully in his Miami Beach home on May 31 at the age of 55. Loving and devoted son of Rose Marie (nee Schaefer) and the late Arnold Leas. Loving brother of Gregg (the late Jodi), Kristine (Mike) Guest and Michael. Dear uncle of Nicholas and Ben Leas, Colin and Connor Guest and Mara Burghardt-Leas. Dearly loved by other relatives and friends. Bryan graduated with the Marquette University High School Class of 1981. He moved to Florida to attend the Miami International Fine Arts College and finished his education at St. Thomas University, Miami. He began his career in the textile industry then ventured into real estate development. He was a devoted volunteer at the Boys Club in Miami, several local food pantries and other philanthropic organizations throughout the years. Most recently he spent endless hours devoted to the hurricane victims in the Puerto Rico Rescue Mission. He will be greatly missed as a son, brother, uncle and friend to many for the loving, kind and extremely thoughtful person he was. Affectionately known as Mr. B and Uncle Magic. He was a sweet man who we deeply love and miss. His spirit will live on in our hearts. Gathering at ST DOMINIC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 18255 W. Capitol Drive, Friday, June 29, 10:30-11:45 AM. Memorial Mass, Noon. Memorials appreciated to Diabetes Association of Southeastern WI. A reception at Westmoor Country Club to follow.

I called Bryan this morning to wish him a happy birthday only to find his phone not in service. I sent him an email as well. Then I thought this was unusual so I googled his name only to find his obituary. I am in a state of shock. We have been close friends since our IFAC days. We spoke serval times a year wishing each other happy birthdays and catching up on our lives. I can't believe this incredible human being is no longer with us. I am so sad! May in RIP and continue to live on in all of our memories. I will love you forever Bryan!

Nearly 30 years ago I met Bryan on New Years Eve, and I knew then that he would be my friend. I can still remember what he was wearing. Looking ever so dapper in a black sports jacket and festive shirt. We exchanged numbers and the rest is history. Bryan would become one of my closest friends and part of our family. Holidays, birthdays, and special gatherings, it was Bryan who sat at our table and lit up the room with his love, smile, and laughter. It was Bryan who I confided in, laughed, cried, and danced with. Sometimes we would just talk on the phone for hours and giggle about life. He was truly like a brother to me. Bryan's journey has ended here, but his love and treasured memories will live on forever. One day we shall meet again where we can laugh and dance. Goodbye for now, sweet Bryan.

I will always miss Bryan, as we all will. A dear close friend of my sister's Joanne, I always loved it when I found that Bryan would be coming to whatever gathering it was. He would walk in and light up the room with his smile, his sharp clothes and kind words. Always a gentleman and entertaining. Bryan was also a great listener, not an easy feat at our gatherings, :) He treated our mother with such respect and love as well, often giving her the most beautiful orchids. RIP our dear friend, Bryan, you will always be missed.

Bryan was a beloved client and friend for many many years. Always gracious and kind. I will miss him. He talked about his relationship with the Lord numerous times during the last few years. So, I rejoice in knowing that he is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. See you again someday Bryan!
