Carl Simonson Obituary

Age 68, of West Allis, passed away Friday, January 20, 2006 at Wisconsin Heart Hospital, in Wauwatosa. He was born December 28, 1937, in Ashland, the son of Gust and Helen (Nordquist) Simonson. He graduated from Ashland High School, in 1958. He married Bonnie Goff in Ashland and they were later divorced. For 38 years, he worked for the Harnischfeger Corporation (P&H), in Milwaukee. We would like to thank the Harnischfeger Corporation (P&H) and fellow coworkers for the tremendous heart felt support and well-wishes. Carl married Jane Smithback on July 11, 1992 in Nevada.

He is survived by his wife, Jane of West Allis; two children, Scott (Chris) Simonson of Franklin and Kim (Dan) Joynt of Heller Town, PA; two step-sons, Jeff and Jason; five grandchildren, Derrick Secord, Elizabeth Joynt, Dan Joynt, Alex Simonson and Ariana Simonson; a brother, William (Theresa) Simonson of Ashland; four sisters, Margaret Guski, Washburn, Ella Simonson of Ashland, Lila Simonson of Ashland and Mary Ann Simonson of Ashland; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a special friend and nephew Pete Guski. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gilbert Simonson.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Frost Home for Funerals, in Ashland. Interment will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery, in Ashland. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, on Thursday, at Frost Home for Funerals, in Ashland.

My sympathies are with our, Carl and myself's, children, Scott Simonson and Kim Joynt. He tried as hard as he could to show his love for these two children.
