Daniel Brown Obituary

Brown, Daniel Patrick Of Town of Genesee. Died peacefully at his cherished home surrounded by his loving family and dear friends on Mon., June 30, 2014, at the age of 49 years after an almost 4 year courageous battle with colon cancer. Dearly beloved husband of Kimberly (nee Scheifen) for 18 years this past May 18. Loving and devoted father of Riley and Jack as well as his 12 year old lab Dutch and new 6 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy Wing. Precious son of Valerie Brown (nee Reuschlein). Dearly loved brother of Jeanne (Jim) Blachowicz, Mark (Luann) Brown and Stephen Brown. Loving Uncle of Emily, Alex, Ryan, Madalyn, Mitchell, Katie, John, Danny, Ashley, and Cory. He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick F. Brown. Further survived by in-laws, uncles, aunts, cousins, and by many wonderful friends. Dan was a longtime resident of Waukesha and graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1983 and went on to receive his degree in Business at UW Oshkosh. His entire career was happily spent working for Pat and Sue Barney at Aerial Work Platforms for over 25 years in Sales. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for duck hunting that he shared with his brothers, cousins, nephews and close friends but most especially his son Jack. He had a special gift for engaging and making a connection with people and was a truly loyal friend to so many both personally and professionally. Many thanks to all our family and friends for their prayers and support these past few years. Special gratitude to all the nurses and our Medical teams at Froedtert & Medical College most especially Dr. Kirian Turaga, Deb Schneider, Courtney Hansen, Dr. James Thomas & Yee Lan Meuler as well as Horizon Hospice Care nursing team that assisted us. Visitation Wednesday, July 9, from 4PM to 7PM at St Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, W280 N2101 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 10, at 11AM, at St Anthony's on the Lake with luncheon to immediately follow. Interment to follow luncheon at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Stillwaters Cancer Support Services or St. Anthony's on the Lake Capital Campaign Fund "Dan's Love of Life, Family and Friends will be Forever with Us"

I think of Dan often, sometimes when driving by the family brown brick home in the City of Waukesha, or when I see his brother Mark. May time help soften the loss of your loved one.

We just wanted to send a note of love and sympathy to the Brown family as we unfortunately couldn't make it to the services. May Jesus welocme Dan into his loving arms and may choirs of angels comfort the family during this time and may you take solace that he is in a place free from pain and full of God's everlasting love.

My condolences to the entire family. I have know Dan for a long time dating back to the 70's when the family moved to Lawnsdale Rd. We used to give Dan a lot of grief over his love of Elvis when he was a "kid". I pray for those he has left behind, that they may find their way in life without his earthly guidance and love. Remembering this presence in your lives will last an eternity. Our love for others is truly what we leave behind.
