Daniel Junius Obituary
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that our beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend Daniel Callaghan Junius, passed away on January 6, 2021.
Dan was born on May 5, 1985 and lived a life filled with love and mischievousness. He generously shared his passions with so many, whether it was poetry, music or skiing.
Dan graced us with his infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room; he was skilled at sales and loved playing poker, Texas holdem being the favorite. He was happiest when pushing himself physically whether on a mountain or behind a boat and if heaven looks anything like Dale Hollow Lake, I'm sure he hasn't stopped smiling since he got there.
Please join us in our celebration and remembrance of his life at The Journey West County Church, 625 Meramec Station Road, Manchester, MO on Monday, January 18, 10am followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery and celebratory lunch to follow.
Dan is survived by his loving parents, Paul and Ann (MacDonald), his brother Kevin (Emily Smith), sisters Alison (Mitch Votruba) and Kathryn, his grandmother Anna May Junius; nieces Elsa, Leigh and Nelle, nephews Hudson, Walker and Ford ("Uncle Dan Dan"); dear friend Marilu and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions to Milwaukee Rescue Mission, 830 N 19th St, Milwaukee, WI 53233 are welcome. Dan always loved the hands on helping of others, whether it was listening to somebody's story; teaching little people how to ski or writing a poem to ease the pain of another.
