Daniel Siettmann Obituary
Greendale - Reunited with his beloved wife Judy on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the age of 82. Loving father of Kathryn (Michael De Boer) Behling and Elizabeth (Nikola) Basta. Proud Bapa of Danica. Dear brother of Robert (Susan) Siettmann and Jean (the late Oliver Parlin) Siettmann. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his sister Barbara (the late Thomas) McGrath and his brother Thomas (Janet) Siettmann.
Dan was a 40 year employee of Advance Transportation Company. He was a 1957 graduate of Don Bosco High School and played on the 1956 Catholic Conference Championship basketball team. He was an avid sports fan, especially passionate for baseball. In retirement years, Dan had season tickets for the Milwaukee Brewers and would arrive two hours before game time to watch batting practice and talk with the players on the field. He was also an avid reader and history buff.
Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel on Thursday, September 10 from 5 - 7 PM. Memorial Service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Milwaukee Brewers Community Foundation, Miller Park, One Brewers Way, Milwaukee, 53214.

It´s a beautiful morning and I´m sitting along the pretty shoreline at Lakeshore State Park and thinking of you, Daddy. Hard to fathom it´s been five years today since you left us. I know that you and Mama continue to watch over me, assuring me that I´m not alone. But I still wish you were here to enjoy the Brewers winning season, but know you´ve been following along from a front row seat on the other side. I love and miss you, Daddy.

Happy 87th Birthday, Daddy! The Brewers are off today, so celebrated with Jack and Margaret yesterday. Near sell-out against the Pirates with the Brewers scoring in the second, winning 4-2. Beautiful day at the ballpark, 42,000+ attendance, awesome seats directly behind home plate...AND your streak of birthday wins remain unbroken, you´re now 5-0! We miss you and Michael so much, but know that you were there with us in spirit xx.

Happy 86th Birthday, Daddy! Celebrated at the ballpark with Jack and Margaret. Really missing Michael this year, but I know you two were there in spirit, no doubt watching from deluxe box seats. Super exciting game with a double steal in the 2nd that set the scene for a grand slam; Brewers won 6-5 over the Rangers in 10 so you’re now 4 and 0 for birthday wins! I love and miss you so much xx

How is it already three years ago today that we lost you, Daddy?? It doesn´t seem fair how the days with you here continue to slip further and further into the corners of the past. How I wish I could stop the pages of life from turning so quickly. Just last fall, Michael and I were in Boston for a Red Sox game and you were right along side us in spirit (they won!) A year later, and you two are watching every game from the front row together. Please look after each other. I love and miss you both xx

Hi Daddy, Michael, Jack and I celebrated your 85th at the ballpark again - Brewers played the 1st place Pirates and rallied to score 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to break the tie game. Three years of birthdays without you now and you are 3-0 for birthday game wins!!! Oh...and it was also bucket hat day! Michael is proof that "one size fits all" hats do indeed not fit all We miss and love you

Hi Daddy, I know how much you loved the old classic ballparks like Wrigley and Tiger Stadium and wish you could´ve been with us at Fenway last week to see the big green monster in person. The atmosphere, the beer and hot dog vendors working the aisles, the old scoreboard, Wurlitzer organ...you would´ve really enjoyed it. It was everything I remembered and loved about County Stadium. But I know you were there in spirit. How do I know? Well, because the Red Sox beat the Orioles 5-3. You are loved and missed xx

Hi Daddy,
Almost a year since you left us and not a day goes by that you don´t come up in someone´s thoughts or conversations - your kindness, practical wisdom, and especially, your dry sense of humor are missed by all. You´d have really enjoyed the Brewers and Bucks this season, but knowing that you have a front row seat to every game now gives us reason to smile. Michael and I are headed to the ballpark this afternoon for a game and know that you´ll be joining us in spirit. We miss and love you.

Kathy &Beth so sorry to hear about your Dad,we will miss his smile&sense of humor.Always fun to be with.Went to Sacred Heart Grade School w/Dan.A group of us reconnected after our 50th class reunion. Always fun times reminiscing with the other couples having get-togethers at each other’s houses. He certainly will be missed by all.Rest in peace Dan.

Dear Daddy,
I'm beyond heartbroken that you passed alone and unexpectedly before anyone could tell you how much they loved you and to say goodbye. But knowing that you are reunited with Mama, Mikki and Reggie offers a tiny bit of comfort for we all know how much you missed her. I will forever be grateful for all you instilled in Beth and I...the importance of hard work, honesty, and to always do the right thing. Thank you for introducing me at an early age to the joy of books and later in life, the joy of running. But mostly, thank you for always making sure we never did without. I hope Beth and I made you proud - for we were so very proud to call you our daddy and will love you forever and always. I will think of you whenever I hear the crack of a baseball bat or find a penny on the ground. Please visit us in our dreams.
