David Darrow Obituary

Darrow, David Michael It is with very heavy hearts and tearful eyes that we must inform you of our son, David's, passing. David grew from a curious and high energy boy into a sincere, warm, and friendly young man. David had become disciplined with his workouts, diet and was improving his sales skills at work steadily. He was driven to improve in his areas of interest. David had always dealt with Bipolar Disorder, but seemed to have his overall mental and physical health under control in recent years. His departure from our lives comes at a time when the skies looked blue and wind seemed to be at his back. A shocking development for someone who seemed happy and was so dearly loved by many. This news defies reason and logic. It is our hope and faith that David is at peace and in a better place at God's side. We are forever grateful for his presence in our lives and will cherish all of the wonderful memories of him. David will be greatly missed by his family, friends and associates. Please pray for David's peace and happiness in God's kingdom. We love you David and always will! Mom and Dad David is lovingly survived by his parents Russell M. and Mara Darrow III; grandparents, Dr. Sam P. Nesemann and Russell M. (Susan J.) Darrow, Jr.; brother, Russell IV, sister Angela, brother Mitchell and brother Tommy; along with many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. RIP David Michael Darrow April 23, 1993- April 16, 2014 A memorial service celebrating David's life will be held this Monday, April 28 at 4:00 PM. at Westbrook Church at 1100 Hwy. 83, Hartland, WI. A reception will immediately follow from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Church Donations in honor of David, if desired may be made to the Greater Milwaukee Foundation in care of the David Michael Darrow Memorial Fund. The fund will support Mental Health education and awareness. Memorial gifts may be sent to: Greater Milwaukee Foundation, 101 W. I am sorry for your loss, my nephew had the same illness and we lost him many years ago. Thank you for speaking about the illness because my ex-sister-in-law hid my nephew's illness from our side of the family, so we did not find out about his illness until he passed. My prayers are with you and your family. God promises to be there for us in our times of sorrow
and I know he will be there for you.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Darrow (and family):

I read with great sadness this morning's JS obituary for your son, David. He was obviously a deeply inspiring, resilient, and truly good man.

You don't know me, but I felt compelled to reach out. As someone that has struggled with mental illness myself for many years (I am 26), and watched parents and close friends suffer along with me, I can appreciate the extra (and excruciating) sadness of this situation. The bottom line for me (having read the obituary) is that your son was the victim of an insidious and devastating disease - nothing more.

I have absolutely no doubt that David is in God's loving embrace right now, that his suffering is at an end, and that you will be reunited with him someday with tears of joy. And I know of no clergyperson speaking in good faith that would say differently. Your family, and David, will be in my prayers in the hard days ahead.

April 27, 2014

Dear Russ, Mara, and family. We unfortunately are unable to express our sympathy in person at Westbrook. My own sister has struggled for over 25 years with some of the same challenges that David had. There are no acceptable answers for such a tragedy. Just know that there will be many hearts, both here and in heaven, supporting you in this time of greatest need. Heaven is a beautiful place and there are no challenges there, only blissful glory. Through the many that will rise up to comfort you, May God take you in his wide embrace and dull the pain, eventually replacing it with nothing but those fond memories that bring smiles and laughter. With Deepest Sympathy and Understanding, Dennis & Cindy Evinrude
